The Secret to Successful Weight Loss

The secret to successful weight loss is simple, but it's not obvious, which is why it's easy to miss and usually is missed.

Here is the Secret:

  1. Constant hunger is what causes diets to fail -- you just can't stay on any diet that causes constant hunger for long enough to lose much weight.
  2. Your body will trigger hunger whenever it needs more of any nutrient that it can only get from food.  (It does this because it has no other way to signal you of this need -- a need which is obviously very important to your life and health.)
  3. But when you're overweight, your body never needs more Calories  (because it's got plenty of Calories stored in it's fat cells).
  4. So on a diet, whenever your body triggers hunger, it is always trying to get you to give it one of the other nutrients that come in food -- not Calories.
  5. You can control that.
  6. When you do control it,  you eliminate the hunger, cravings, aches, pains, and low energy levels that otherwise make weight loss so difficult, and for most people nearly impossible.

To put it another way, your body doesn't really want more food when it makes you hungry and destroys your diet.  It really wants more of a particular nutrient that would be in some of the food that you could eat -- if you ate the right foods. And the nutrient it happens to want might be any one of several possibilities (which can also be different from day to day).

This situation is easy to handle once you understand what's going on, and develop some "know-how", and learn about suitable foods that are available for you to work with.

How do you manage this?

The general technique for diet success is to eliminate hunger while limiting Calories by:

  1. eating nutritionally concentrated natural foods
  2. eating appropriate "reduced-Calorie" processed foods
  3. taking appropriate nutritional supplements (which generally have no Calories at all).

All of these methods mean you make sure your body never runs out of anything important  (which means it never needs to trigger hunger),  while at the same time making sure that it does not get enough Calories to maintain your current body weight.

When you do this, your body simply pulls its Calorie needs out of your fat cells  without ever running low on anything that would make you hungry.

And that means you will be able to stay on your diet however long you need to lose however much weight you want.

Of course all this is "easier said than done"  (what isn't?)  but it's also not that hard. It takes "know-how" and practice, but hardly any "will-power".

You need nutritional "know-how" and a technique to use it -- and we provide both -- free -- right on this site.

There are quite a few natural foods that are nutritionally concentrated in the right way, meaning that they are high in one or more vital nutrients but still low in Calories. There are also more and more "reduced-Calorie" processed foods that provide large amounts of several vital nutrients but have had many of their normally-present Calories removed in processing. And there are various easily-available vitamin and mineral supplements (and many brands of each) that can all help do the same thing.

You will find all of the information you need to put together a proper diet for yourself freely available on this website. Look under the category links on the top left-hand side of most pages.

There are also much quicker and easier short-cuts.

This site gives you a huge amount of nutrition and weight control information (several hundred pages). Much of this information is excerpted from The Multi-Diet, a full-length softcover book we publish  (and which is much easier to read than your computer screen).  It all shows how nutrition affects bodyweight and how you can use nutrition to control body weight.
