Alcohol Calories

Alcohol is not carbohydrate, fat, or protein. It’s a unique energy source of its own—and the body has no known use for it other than as energy (and entertainment ).

On The Multi-Diet, drinking alcohol is OK if you’re careful, but it is not particularly recommended. Alcohol has 7 Calories per gram, which is almost as many Calories as fat itself (9 Calories per gram). So if you do drink alcohol, you will need to count these Calories along with all the others in order to stay off the Liar’s Diet.

Alcohol in the body also causes some major not-very-helpful effects on the energy metabolism of carbohydrate, fat, and protein. You need to understand these effects in order to manage it properly, so be sure to read More On… Energy Metabolism & Storage.
